A Couple of Months in...

If someone had told us both how much work we were really in for we would have laughed in disbelief. People tell you how much work your own business involves, but really - you have no idea! Not only that, because it is your own business, there's no off time, business talk seeps into breakfasts, lunches and dinners and holidays away. For the artwork side of things, it has meant some very late nights trying to get work done. But all of these are good issues, actually wonderful issues to have -  as the ball starts slowly rolling.

Once Charlotte was born, and the idea of painting was becoming a pleasant distant memory, ink became a much easier medium to turn too. Easy to pick up and put away, the lightbulb moment came when I bought a set of Prismacolor watercolour pencils. I was drawing late one night -
